The first and, for a long time, only two tomatoes. I was afraid this was all I was
going to get.
A year later, hidden in the usual green curtain that hugs the window: red
specks, that turn out to be tiny undernourished tomatoes, and more red specks
in the making.
Next to the red specks, an almost-normal, plum-sized green fruit. More
green fruits elsewhere, showing starting blossom end rot (it was midsummer
and the plants were sporadically watered).
The first harvest, some of the mini-tomatoes shrivelled with age.
The signs of a second harvest to come.
My patience is rewarded.
