Porter Texan



Unripe, colouring Porters, turning so pink that it hurt my eyes (and made me wonder if these were Thai Pink Egg). This is why "pink" tomatoes are called that, of course: for the candy colour they have each time someone goes to look if they're ripe yet.


Once it's ripe - shown here with Black Trifele and Moscovy Delikates - there's hardly any pink left. Still a pretty little plum, though.


A late Porter that wants to be heart-shaped and is not pink at all, just a light off-red, here contrasted with "white" White Wonder and definitely red Moscovy Delikates.
