Episode 29: Galack X

Just visible in the dark, the trainer of Galack X, the new kickboxing talent, holds down the ropes so he can enter.

And here she is behind the aspiring champion, who has an X monogrammed on his shorts to emphasize how anonymous he is.

The start of the match; Galack X (his name is about as subtle as the numbers on the T-shirts of a certain teen hero team) faces the current champion.

While Galack X is in the ring, his trainer stands at the ropes. Apparently yet another disguise, this is the first instance of Katze unmasked.

Cutting open the kickboxer-cyborg's gloves, Katze is about to reveal to the two boys outside peeking in through the window, that the match was not a fair one.

What was that noise outside? Apart from demonstrating how silly people can look with just their heads visible, this shows that Katze is wearing the "Monorail Mala" four-hooked hairclip, or maybe a more drably coloured version of it; on other shots, her hair appears to be held together by an invisible force, or just tossed over one shoulder and hanging loose.

The cyborg kickboxer and his handler prepare to flee, snatching up two eavesdroppers as they go.

Jinpei follows the two boys and their kidnappers to the Galactor base...

where Katze prepares for a quick change (of clothes, that is).

This animated gif (linked to separately so it doesn't slow the loading of the page; press the "back" button on the browser to return to this page) shows how it's done; rather than flipping the coat inside out as I'd previously thought, s/he tears off the coat, which billows out like a curtain and behind which, one assumes, the great leader of Galactor is struggling into his costume; then tosses the coat away, at which it disappears into, um, Hammerspace? Wherever it is that anime characters keep their props?

The "lips" shot; or, to put it more delicately, this pic of Katze freshly out of the "trainer" disguise and into uniform suggests that the only thing changed is the costume.
