News has just arrived that a Galactor defector has escaped with a suitcaseful of incriminating information. As usual, the Onnataicho is right on the spot. (No wonder she was re-cast as reporter in BOTP.) A neat reflection shows her indulging her favourite habit.
Or maybe the BOTP crew felt that reporters are essentially evil.
Seated in a chair that colours rather well with her clothes, she talks in a biting voice, mentioning the name "Galactor" several times (chewing out the worried-looking guy in the suit, probably), smiles like a centerfold and spreads smoke all over the place.
Having made her point and put out her cigar, she leaves. The worried guy doesn't even look round.
This is the car she also uses in ep 88, with the glass roof and whip-up doors. This type of door was once used in "cars for rich people", which is, I presume, the connotation the animators were after; the trend was soon over when it became widely known that such doors may become immovably jammed, locking the owner inside, or out of, the car.
Off she rides into the snow, flipping up her collar to talk into the communicator bead hidden under it. And that is, sadly, the last worthwhile appearance she makes in the show; she only pops up two more times, and the second time (ep 102) she's almost unrecognizable.
